NEMO Science Museum was originally founded in 1923 as the Museum van den Arbeid (Museum of Labor). Over the years, it evolved into the Netherlands’ premier interactive science center. The iconic green building, resembling a ship, was designed by renowned Italian architect Renzo Piano and opened in 1997.
