The tour led by our guide, Gauthier, was really great and comprehensive. He took the time to sound out the group to find out what everyone knew before the tour started, answered all our many questions and left time for photos if necessary. Thanks to him, anyone who hasn't yet read Anne Franck's diary will want to do so!

Our guide was fascinating. He took us on a tour of Amsterdam's Jewish quarter, with lots of details, all related to Anne Frank's life. Our children, aged 8 and 12, were enthralled. There were many exchanges with them about the diary and life in the annex. We didn't have the chance to visit Anne Frank's house, but we were delighted with our 2-hour walk. We arrived at the meeting point for the canal tour just as the boat was leaving... We had no trouble exchanging our tickets for the next cruise. Amsterdam looks magnificent from the canals

A fascinating tour with our guide Henk. Very good French, very good general knowledge, his comments enabled us to learn more about the Jewish communities through the history of Amsterdam up to the horror of the Second World War. As French-speaking visitors, we recommend Henk's tours with our eyes closed. We'll be back for sure!

Very knowledgeable guide, very professional and friendly. Vert interesting tour, saw parts of the city and leaned about history that we never would have if we didn't do the tour. I would highly recommend.
Our guide Henk was enthusiastic and passionate with a sense of humor. His tour took us through the life of Anne Frank and some of the history of Amsterdam's Jews from the 16th century to the present day. It was very interesting on a historical, human, religious and cultural level. An excellent guide, to be recommended.

The narrator and route guidance But indicating meeting point was worthless. That seems at orange umbrella but is not put anywhere on Headout's site! Even the orange umbrella did not know. So had to make expensive phone calls to find out! Really bad .

The guided tours were good and very informative. Unfortunately, although I had booked a German tour, the tour was in English. I had booked the combined tour because it supposedly included admission to the Anne Frank House. Unfortunately, this was a mistake. It was the same for all participants who had booked this tour and wanted to visit the Anne Frank House. It was a rip-off and very annoying!

The guide Ola was very clear and provided a lot of information with the tour. I learned a different perspective of the Frank family in the Netherlands and the way the Netherlands dealt with the Second World War. I highly recommend the tour before going to Anne Frank's house.
We had a great experience, very informative and enjoyable. Recommend to all just remember to pre book your Anne Frank house tickets early if you want to go into her house
Walking tour of Ann Franck at its best! Passionate and fascinating guide! Lousy cruise, overcrowded boat, not enough room to sit, in short, a nightmare!

Very informative, great insights, great guide who took us through the experience in a very real way that brought home the impact of the Nazi occupation.
The tour was very interesting and informative. It would be good if we could visit the interior of some of the buildings as part of the tour. In the quotation you should add "very good" to "great". A C

It was a very well organised and very informative walking tour. Our group guide Ms. Ala was so knowledgeable and friendly, she ensured everyone was engaged and participated. Learned so much about the world war 2 specially Anne Frank. The group size was kept small to make it more effective multiple groups with different guides was created. The tour is not tiring and easy to follow but suggest you wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes.
The best tour I've ever been on! The tour guide vybr/danial was absolutely incredible! It was the most worthwhile thing we have done and so much better than just going to the house! Vybr was so passionate and informative! His brain knows so much, he was like a walking Google! I took my 13yr old daughter with me and vybr engaged her and included her into the discussions I found this extremely considerate and thoughtful, he gave a truly inspiring insight into Anne frank and her life, the Jewish community and the city itself!! Definitely worth having a tour with Vybr!
The guide was brilliant. He was knowledgeable and able to bring to life a sad but amazing story. The pace of the tour was just about right, and he expertly dodge rain showers that came only ever as we stopped. Good value for money.
Czasandra, notre guide, était très agréable, et passionnée par son sujet. Elle a pris tout son temps pour nous expliqué l'histoire d'Anne Franck dans les détails. Extrêmement intéressant.
Our guide Xavier was enthralling and captivating throughout, and I was there with two teenagers who also loved it, despite the difficult subject matter. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed the knowledge and depth emotion , which was expressively given, with pictures and descriptive words that allowed me to visualise thes traumatic and awful events that i previously had not completely understood. Thanks
Excellent walking tour of Anne Frank's life, with a very clear and friendly guide. A must-do even with children. On the other hand, we didn't get the service we'd planned for the boat cruise. The audio-guides were broken and we were offered another cruise to get information in French. But in fact, there was very little information in French. We paid a lot for the service we really got.

Cassandra is extraordinary. She has portrayed Anne's story so well, as well as that of Otto, Anne's father. She knows her material very well and conveys it so well that I cried a few times. She even managed to hold the attention of 7- and 9-year-olds for 2 hours. I recommend her 10/10. Thank you.

Henk was our tour guide, and he spoke perfect English and explained the Jewish history very well. A very informative walking tour! I'm from Taiwan and felt that the good experience of this tour led me to book more activities on Headout for my following trips in Spain and Italy. Even though Anne Frank house was fully booked during my visit (sadly), this tour made that regret up! Strongly recommend!
Angie was exceptional: very attentive, knowledgeable and fascinating. The tour exceeded our expectations. This guide exuded humanity.

My couple and I really loved this walking tour, Stefanie was very kind and charming during all the tour, and made our experience outstanding by exceeding our expectations. We are from Panama and we could only imagine and understand certain things, but walking trough the city with the knowledge and storytelling skills from Stefanie, we could really jump into the history and learn much more about it with significant histories, references to the book and nice pictures from places to have an idea on what happened. We really like it and understood perfectly.
no audio assistance to the guide...we could hardly hear her...too fast talk... well ..what else can I say...not a remarkable experience, we had better tours...
We were very happy with the tour and Julia as our guide. She was a very good storyteller and the way she brought the diary in the story was very good. There were many details, that amazed us, and made us think of the many troubles that the jews faced.
The tour guide David was very clever and very inspired/ing, really focused on the participants, we had a significative and important explanation about Amsterdam, the Jewish quartier and the diary of Anna. I was lucky to arrive running just in time at the meeting point ):
David, our guide, was very passionate and knowledgeable about the history of Anne Frank and the Jewish quarter. It was a joy to hear about the history. I was running a few minutes late so I really appreciate the fact that David called me to say all was good and explained where to find them.
Formos atendidos e orientados por profissionais que demonstraram conhecimento e alegria em contar um pouco da estória da cerveja, o passeio permite a imersão e dispõe de muitos elementos interativos.
Our tour guide Leona was very knowledgeable and really interesting and very enthusiastic about the subject of the Jewish quarter and the various factions of Jews that came to Amsterdam to flee persecution from other parts of Europe. An interesting tour wirh an excellent guide
A very moving moment during this visit with Antonia The explanations were clear, complete, and pertinent I would like to thank Antonia for this rare moment we enjoied so much with my son
I loved learning about the Jewish history in Amsterdam. It wasn't what I expected, but my husband and I enjoyed it and got to see a different part of the city we hadn't been to before.
The tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and best on this trip .
Stephanie our guide- she was extremely knowledgable and gave us a great tour.
The guide that we have is amazing . He explained us everything properly and very carefully.

On my second visit to Amsterdam I have made the tour of the canals aboard a boat of the company LOVERS, really very well, with audio guide in Spanish, with basic and curious information about the city, its beginnings and architecture. Very nice ride. Impressive the dimension of the tour boats with the small private boats of the locals who go out for a walk around. The drivers have an incredible skill! Very nice to see the houseboats throughout the tour, you pass really close to some of them. Thanks for such a nice ride

I loved the experience, Kassandra, our French guide, told us Anne Frank's story with great intensity, and the visit to the Jewish Quarter gave us a new perspective on this historic part of the city and the effects of World War 2. I did this visit with my 17-year-old daughter, who was more or less interested. She shared this experience as a beautiful moment of our trip, even if the injustices experienced by the Jews in this part of history had her a bit overwhelmed, and I'm happy that this encounter allowed her to develop her interest in history and culture. Thank you Kassandra! Marie-Claire and Charlie Canada 🇨🇦 Yesii, also our tour was combined with a canal cruise and the end point of the tour was the cruise embarkation point so it was great that it was well coordinated like that ⭐️

The effiency at the meet up point and the courteous driver of the boat made this a very comfortable experience for the older traveller.
We appreciated the guide's knowledge, the places visited and the commentary. However, we were very disappointed not to have visited the house where Anne Frank and her family lived. The story of Anne Frank has enabled you to organize this tour. This is not what we were looking for when we booked this tour. We wanted to visit the house.

The trail in Anne Frank's footsteps is very well detailed and supported by Xavier's rich commentary. He brings to life the settlement of the Jews in Holland and the sad fate they suffered under Nazism. The Frank family is the main thread. Only one regret: the cancellation of the visit to Anne Frank's house shortly beforehand.

Audiovisual guide in French for the museum and synagogue. We appreciated the warm welcome from the staff. We appreciated the guide. However, concerning the information, we did not understand that the entrance to Anne Franck's house was not included. Also, we were late in receiving your proposal for booking the entrance to the synagogue. We would have liked to have received this information earlier. Fortunately, we were staying in Amsterdam to benefit from the museum and synagogue entrance.

I thought our tickets were for May 13 but actually were for May12. A kind gentleman still allowed us in for the tour. Visit was memorable for my wife and I as we walked on the same floors and stairs as Anne and her family did. We were sad and angry that such a talented young girl would never realize that she became an accomplished author just as she planned. It was a remarkable tour. Thank you.
Having read Anne's diary, it brought the annexe to life, just wish that it had been furnished as it was, this would have given us a much better feeling of what it would have been like to experience living in such close quarters for such a long time.
The visit to Anne Frank's house went well. It made me think about how cruel the Second World War was, especially to the Jews.

The experience was a deeply moving tribute to Anne Frank, her family and everyone involved around them in the house. You must book tickets beforehand to make sure you get a place. Lovely friendly staff.
Everything was perfect, the place was easy to get to, the staff were friendly and, on a positive note, they spoke French! A not-to-be-missed visit to Amsterdam... full of emotions!

Very intresting, well worth the visit and alot to read and see . But be aware steps to attic are very steep as advised on website.
My visit to Ann Frank House was amazing and very poignant..I was lucky to visit in late evening when it was easy to get around as less people there..highly recommended!
Very well managed. Not too crowded. It was a fantastic experience, diving into the daily life of the Frank's family whilst in hiding. Very emotional and informative.
An exciting and evocative tour suitable for even the youngest children. My 10-year-old son understood and appreciated the story as you told it with the audio guide. My 16-year-old teenage son also enjoyed the tour and especially the final video about the meaning of democracy and the danger of dictatorship. Thank you

It's a unique experience, emotionally charged, sad and distressing at the same time, but one that has the merit of bringing to life the story of Anne Frank, who rightly became a martyr and an icon of the war.

In 1942, Anne, along with her family, went into hiding. In 1944, they were discovered by the Gestapo and sent to concentration camps. Her father, Otto, the sole survivor of the Frank family, returned to Amsterdam to find that her diary had been saved by his secretary, Miep Gies. Her work, The Diary of a Young Girl, published posthumously in 1947, documents her life.
More about Anne FrankThe Diary of a Young Girl chronicles Anne's daily life. The red and white plaid diary, a gift for her 13th birthday, captures typical adolescent problems, the fear of capture, and her hopes for the future. Over the years, it has been translated into more than 60 languages. In 2009, it was added to the UNESCO Memory of the World Register.
About Anne Frank's diaryLocated on Prinsengracht 263, the Achterhuis or Secret Annex was part of Anne Frank's father, Otto's office. The Secret Annex, the rear extension of the building, was concealed from view by houses on all four sides. The Franks shared the space with the van Pels family and Fritz Pfeffer. The Anne Frank House, established in 1957, continues to preserve the house as a museum.
